Runway Fashion: Does Anybody Really Wear That?
Would you wear a catsuit roll model? A ball gown that covers your lower half? How about a Speedo with a fabric band that stretches to your waist and around your neck to watch a water S & M? No? Oh, you're no fun.
Catwalks are known for their over-the-top, impractical outfits, and spring 2010 New York Fashion Week (which runs Sept. 10-17, 2009, of course) is no exception. Alexander McQueen showed his broad conception of Speedo, Christian Dior went for a sort of 19th century French prostitute look-and Y-3 models paraded their see-through outfits that did not even armholes.While fashionistas and critically acclaimed artists in their original format, the rest of us were left to wonder if anyone really wear?
No, they are not supposed to. Runway designs are a form of works of wearable art, with emphasis on the beauty and innovation, not functionality. "It's fun to do these really extravagant pieces of exciting track," says George Simonton, a designer and professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, but very few designs are truly wacko to be worn. Diorshow Iconic Mascara by Christian Dior review
Diorshow Iconic Mascara is definitely one of the more expensive premium brands mascara. He promises to "lengthen, curl and define" and found it lives up to its claims. I like the stick in terms of spacing of the bristles and shape. This makes it very easy to implement. The brush is not too fragile or too large for me not to worry about smudging or streaks on the skin around the eyes. I really hate smudging my mascara, if I give this mascara a lot of credit for how it is easy to use. Whatever the ingredients of this mascara contains are also very good.They do not cause my eyelashes to fall is always a good thing. My mascara lasts all day and even if I sweat, my mascara starts to melt. Because I live in hot weather, this is a mascara every day perfect!
Overall, Diorshow Iconic is okay. For its price, I'd say it could be better. It does thicken, but because he did not promise to thicken, I can not be disappointed by this. Even if I get no volume, I get a lot of length and curl.With the second layer, the cilia begin to mix slightly so I never apply two coats of this because I can live with some clumping as long as I have great length and curl. This mascara is only average. Because it is so expensive, I expected the effect to be even more dramatic. Because I am so impressed by the length, it is a mascara that I will certainly keep in my collection.
